Privacy Policy

PoolCast AI is operated by Swimming in Sales LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use PoolCast AI at poolcast.ai and app.poolcast.ai, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Information you give us
- Account details. Your email address and a password, which is stored in encrypted form. We never see your password in readable form.
- Photos you upload. Backyard photographs you submit so the service can generate a render.
- Build selections. The options you choose — pool shape, finish, decking, features, and any text you type into the custom request field.
- Payment details. If you subscribe, your card information is collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
Standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the date and time of the request. These are used to keep the service running and to investigate abuse or errors.
Analytics
We use analytics tools to understand how many people visit this site, which pages they read, and which sources they arrive from. We use this only to improve the site. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not share it with advertisers.
- Google Analytics. Sets a first-party cookie and assigns your browser a random identifier so repeat visits can be counted as one visitor rather than several. It records pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and the site or search that referred you. Google processes this data on our behalf; its use is governed by Google's own privacy practices in addition to this policy. You can opt out across all sites with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Plausible. A privacy-focused analytics tool that counts visits without cookies and without assigning you a persistent identifier.
Most browsers also honour a Do Not Track setting or offer content blocking that will prevent either tool from loading.
How your photos are processed
Your uploaded photo is sent to Google's Gemini image model to produce the render. That processing happens on Google's infrastructure and is governed by Google's own terms and privacy practices in addition to this policy. We do not sell your photos, and we do not publish them anywhere.
Your uploaded photos and the renders generated from them are stored in your account so you can return to them later. You can delete an individual render from within the app at any time.
How we use your information
- To generate and deliver your renders
- To create and maintain your account, including your free render allowance
- To process subscription payments and send billing receipts
- To respond when you contact us for support
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and technical problems
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers required to operate PoolCast AI:
- Google — image generation, and website analytics via Google Analytics
- Plausible — website analytics
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing
- Render — application hosting
- Netlify — hosting of this marketing website
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Data retention
We keep your account information and renders for as long as your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your account information and stored renders within 30 days, except where we are required to retain billing records for tax or legal purposes.
Your choices
You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Email us and we will act on the request within 30 days. You can also delete individual renders yourself from inside the app.
Cookies
The app uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. This site also sets a Google Analytics cookie, which counts repeat visits as described under Analytics above. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across other companies' websites.
Children
PoolCast AI is a business tool intended for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
We use encrypted connections and encrypted password storage, and we limit access to customer data. No online service can promise perfect security, and we do not claim to.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by email to account holders.
